New pages

So I had a little time the other day to get some digital pages done. These were quickpages that I just dropped photos into, so I was able to get these pages done in short order.

Jump!

For Christmas, instead of buying the grandkids individual gifts, mom bought a trampoline to keep at the ranch for when we are all there. The older kids have been enjoying it. Only in the last few weeks has Oscar been willing to get in and try to jump. He can't jump on solid ground yet, can't get both feet off the ground. But in the trampoline he will try and he lets the boys bounce him a little. It's a great way to get everyone tired so that they will go to bed without trouble!

Last baby haircut

Oscar will be 2 years old tomorrow. I can't believe it's already been that long since he was born but it seems like we didn't have a "baby" very long. He's been a big boy this whole time. He's just so tall and so active - like he is more than 2!

Well we've avoided getting his hair cut for a while because he hates it so much. He screams "bloody murder" at the sight of the barber, or in today's case, hairdresser. It's like he knows what's going to happen and fears the pain, as if cutting your hair involved pain! And yet, as his hair was getting cut, he would actually say "ouch". I had to literally hold his face firmly in my hands so that he could get the haircut. He cried the whole time, just cried. But he was much better once he got his face cleaned, the cape came off, and I handed him a lollipop.

Bike Pump

It was such a beautiful, breezy day today. A perfect Saturday. We let the boys go out to ride bikes, but inevitably, one will need air. Oscar pays attention to these things! After Howie fixed his tire and rode off, Oscar got the pump and tried pumping his own bike. Not that his tires needed it, but he imitated what he had learned and attempted to fix his own bike. It was very interesting to watch him, too. Sometimes we underestimate him because he's our baby. But he is growing so much everyday and learning so much!
