Ready for the Rodeo

Day 35

Grandpa called today and asked if the boys could get out of school early to go to the rodeo in San Antonio. Of course!!

They didn't want to dress up, but I didn't give them much option. They looked so cute before they left. Howard and I were happy to let them go, since they don't often get an opportunity to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma without us around nagging at them all the time. And I lectured them well before they left to behave!!

Here's how much fun they had...

Backyard view

Day 34

It's been raining cats and dogs around here. Just wanted to capture our backyard view of the creek.

Take my picture

Day 32

Told you he get photographed a lot. This one was per his repeated request. I wonder if it really is a burden to be that darn cute?

Ravenous Carnivores

Day 30

After Howie's basketball game this morning, we headed out to Eagle Pass to make a deposit for the house payment. Of course, we couldn't pass up the chance to eat lunch at Chili's. The boys just love their baby back ribs, which was what they ordered. Half a rack each. With fries.

These are their empty plates. The bones were cleaned by ravenous little boys! And yet, even after all they ate on their plates, they ate off of Howard's and my plates too! I knew having boys meant they would be big eaters, but I didn't think it would be at ages 9 and 7! Pretty soon even Oscar will be eating off the full menu.

Chocolate keeps him happy

Day 26

So it's a Tuesday evening, which means we are at the office doing inserts for the paper. Oscar is still too young to help out so Grandpa sometimes has to keep him entertained. Luckily for him, someone at the restaurant was having a birthday and they had enough cupcakes to share. One little boy. And he sat there and ate it in front of us like he was the king.
